DID YOU KNOW?

  • A suburb built around the first electric streetcar line and annexed to the city in 1888.
  • Undergoing a major revitalization effort, championed in part by Seawall Development. Construction on their newest project, R. House food hall, launches just days after our performance in the neighborhood.
  • Neighborhood schoolchildren attend Margaret Brent Elementary/Middle School and GreenMount School, a cooperative independent day school.
  • This area is home to The Single Carrot Theatre, a driving force for theatrical innovation in Baltimore—championing new, diverse, and socially significant works; reinvigorating the classics; creating vibrant theatrical experiences; and fiercely supporting the growth of young artists. Next door to the theater in a renovated tire shop (completed by Seawall in 2014) is Parts and Labor, a locally-sourced whole-animal butchery and restaurant.
