2023 - 2024 Artist Residency Application

Application Instructions

Please complete and submit the following with your application:

Resume and repertoire list for your ensemble, if applicable, and in all cases individual members’ resumes and repertoire lists.
Residency proposal specifically outlining the details of your project. Include a proposed timeline for your residency work. (One-page limit)
If you are applying as an existing ensemble, please submit a video recording of your group. If you are applying as individuals, please send representative video recordings of each musician.

Letters of recommendation may be requested after applications have been received.

Composers are not eligible to apply for Yellow Barn Artist Residencies but can participate as collaborating artists. If you are collaborating with a composer, please include representative recordings and biographical information for your composer colleague(s).

Fees

$50 for individuals and $100 for ensembles (non-refundable and due with application).

Deadlines

Applications for Yellow Barn Residencies are accepted on an ongoing basis. The next deadline is May 1, 2023 for residencies taking place between September 2023 and May 2024.

Payment

After clicking on “Submit” you will be asked to pay your application fee of $50 for individuals or $100 for ensembles/collaborate projects by PayPal. You may pay with a PayPal account or with a credit card. If you prefer to pay by check, please print your application and check payable to “Yellow Barn” to Yellow Barn, PO Box 507 Putney, VT 05346.
