Yukiko Uno

Yukiko Uno, violin (Gifu, Japan), is a laureate at the Queen Elisabeth Competition and the Oleh Krysa Violin Competition. She won the first prize at the International Andrea Postacchini Violin Competition, Chengdu Guangya Violin Competition, Czech Music Competition. She received “Paul Roczek Award” from Mozarteum Salzburg University.

As a soloist, Uno played with Orchester Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, Belgian National Orchestra, Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana, St.Gellert Festival Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of the University Mozarteum, New Japan Philharmonic, Chamber Orchestra of Nagoya, collaborating with Jean-Jacques Kantorow, Hugh Wolff, Eiji Oue, Johannes Kalitzke and Kazuki Wada.

Uno was invited to the “St Gellert International Music Festival” and the “Classy Sundays chamber festival.” She appeared in the NHK-FM “Recital Passio” in Japan. Lately she acted as the concertmistress at Japan National Orchestra directed by Mo.Yutaka Sado performing with Kyohei Sorita in Japan tour 2021.

She studied with Pierre Amoyal, Natsumi Tamai, Mayumi Shindo and received lessons by Vadim Repin, Midori, Leonidas Kavakos, Viktor Tretyakov, Mihaela Martin, Szabadi Vilmos, and Herwig Zack.

Uno obtained B.A. from Mozarteum University Salzburg in 2020 and is currently studying with Rainer Schmidt at the M.A. in Specialized Solo Performance degree at the Musik Akademie Basel in Switzerland.
