Linda Ruan

Linda Ruan, piano (Vancouver, Canada), was named one of CBC's Hot 30 under 30 Classical Musicians. She has performed in venues world-wide, including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, and Xinghai Philharmonic Hall in China. She has given solo performances with the Orchestra of DEWC and with the Oakville Chamber Orchestra. As winner of the 2018 Glenn Gould School Concerto Competition, she will perform with the Royal Conservatory Orchestra. She was named the RBC Stockey Young Artist at the Festival of Sound in Parry Sound, and was awarded special prizes in the PianoArts North American Piano Competition. She formed the La Fiammata Piano Duo with Charissa Vandikas, Grand Prix winners of the Canadian Music Competition. Born in Tokyo, Linda began her studies in Shanghai, China. As recipient of the Colleen Sexsmith Piano Scholarship, Linda is currently studying with James Anagnoson at the Glenn Gould School at the Royal Conservatory of Music.
