Francis Tsai, violin (Phenix City, AL), began playing the violin at the age of five. He was awarded 1st prize at the Ronald Sachs International Music Competition in 2021 and the Hilton Head Symphony Youth Concerto Competition in 2019. At age 11, Francis gave his first solo performance with an orchestra. Since then, he has performed with the Hilton Head and Beaufort Symphony Orchestras. Francis currently studies with Jennifer Liu and Eric Tsai. Aside from his classical music interests, Francis enjoys filmmaking, photography, cooking, and making music covers on the violin and viola.
