Emma Richman

Emma Richman, violin (Minneapolis, MN), currently is pursuing her BM at the Juilliard School under Laurie Smukler. She began her studies with Susan Crawford as a part of the Northern Lights School for Violin, and later studied with Minnesota Orchestra concertmaster Erin Keefe. She was a member of the Minnesota Youth Symphonies, and for two years served as concertmaster. She attended the Artaria Chamber Music School and has attended the Northern Lights Chamber Music Institute, Heifetz International Music Institute, Stringwood, Music@Menlo, and spent two summers touring with the National Youth Orchestra, earning the role of concertmaster for their 2015 tour of China. Emma won First Prize in the Schubert Club Solo Competition, appeared as a soloist on the St. Paul taping of From the Top, and received the Larson Memorial Award through the Wirth Center for the Performing Arts.
