Xenia Susha Edwards

Xenia Susha Edwards, viola and violin (London, UK), is at Columbia University studying Psychology and Music. Susha is currently studying with Naoko Tanaka, having previously studied with Elena Kochergina at the Tchaikovsky Central Music School in Moscow. In addition to winning awards from the Barnes Young Musician and Richmond Music Festival competitions back home in London, she has also participated in many music festivals, such as the International Schools Choral Music Society Festivals (ISCMS) and Dulwich Festival of Music in Shanghai, Zhuhai, and Beijing, as well as the National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute and Pro Corda Chamber Music courses. While in London she was a student at the Royal College of Music Junior Department. She is a member of the New York Youth Symphony, the Columbia Pops Orchestra, and a string quartet in the Music Performance Program, and she enjoys playing in the orchestral pit for musical theater productions. Susha has performed in orchestra and chamber ensembles at venues such as Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall, United Palace, the Kennedy Center, and Cadogan Hall.
