Victor García García

Víctor García García, cello (Seville, Spain), studied  at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía with Natalia Shakhovskaya and Michal Dmochowski, and he is working towards a Bachelor’s Degree at the Universität der Künste Berlin, with Jens Peter Maintz. Víctor won second prize in the 2013 Witold Lutosławski Cello Competition in Warsaw, has received awards in several national Spanish competitions, and holds the Wardwell scholarship given by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. He has attended masterclasses with cellists Lluis Claret, Antonio Meneses, Natalia Gutman, and Tilmann Wick. Víctor has performed with the Malaga Philharmonic, Royal Symphony Orchestra of Seville, and Orquesta Sinfónica of Escuela Reina Sofía. Víctor has studied with Günther Pichler, Heime Müller, Marta Gulyas, Eckart Runge, Fernando Arias, Jonathan Brown, Avri Levitan, and the Quiroga Quartet. He has participated in numerous European chamber music festivals, including the Musethica Festival.
