Tiffany Du Mouchelle

Tiffany Du Mouchelle, soprano (San Diego, CA), explores 35 different languages and classical, world, contemporary, cabaret, and theatrical works. Recipient of the Richard F. Gold Career Grant for American Opera Singers, Tiffany has performed with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, Bang on a Can All-Stars, Center for Contemporary Opera, Skálholt Summer Music Series in Iceland, Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, and American Composer’s Alliance and in venues such as Lincoln Center, Disney Hall, The Consulate of the Republic of Poland, and The Ukrainian Institute. Recent collaborations include the Australian premiere of Stockhausen’s “Sirius” with Bendigo International Festival of Exploratory Music, the West Coast Premieres of Roger Reynolds’ Justice (Clytemnestra) and Pasqual Dusapin’s To Be Sung (Voice Two), and residencies at Yellow Barn and Songfest. She frequently collaborates with composers from around the world and has premiered over fifty works for voice. She is the co-founder of Aurora Borealis, a duo with percussionist Stephen Solook; together they have re-defined chamber music for this combination through the commissioning and development of new works that treat each instrument as an equal, rather than melody and accompaniment. As a collaborator with the cultural diplomacy organization Cultures in Harmony, she has served as an instructor of voice, musical outreach specialist, and performer for projects in Cameroon, Tunisia, Egypt, and Papua New Guinea. Past Yellow Barn musician (2014)
