Riley Hale

Riley Hale, percussion (Fort Mill, SC), is a sophomore percussionist and Performance major at Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of Music. She currently studies under professors Ji Hye Jung and Lee Vinson, and plays in both Vanderbilt’s Wind Symphony and Orchestra, as well as with the Vanderbilt Percussion Group. Riley has attended several summer intensives around the world, most recently visiting Korea with Blair’s percussion studio. Beginning her competitive journey this year, Riley claimed first prize in the Charleston Contemporary Music Competition, first place in the PASIC Concert Snare Drum Competition, and First Prize in the Southern Adventist Concerto Competition.
