Lili M. Namazi, composition (Cranford, NJ), seeks to channel the visceral, the divine, and the queer through their music. Among the ensembles for which they have written are the International Contemporary Ensemble, ChamberQUEER, New York Youth Symphony, Da Capo Chamber Players, and the National Youth Orchestra-USA. lili has held fellowships with the National Youth Orchestra, “From the Top”, and Luna Composition Lab, where they were awarded the 2023 G. Schirmer Prize. They are a rising sophomore at Bard College & Conservatory, where they study with Missy Mazzoli.
