Sein Lee

Sein Lee, cello (Seoul, South Korea), was a Kumho Prodigy and gave her debut recital in Kumho Arts Hall. Sein has participated in the Festival Owon, and has toured throughout France with Trio Owon. Other festivals include the Seoul Spring Festival, where she performed with violinist Dong-Suk Kang, Casalmaggiore International Festival, Music Alps, and the Kirishima Music Festival. Sein regularly appears with the Asian Philharmonic under Maestro Myun-Whun Chung and last year participated in the Seiji Ozawa Academy. She has performed in masterclasses for David Geringas, Gary Hoffman, Philippe Muller, and Steven Doane. Sein received her BM and MM from Yonsei University, where she studied with Sung-won Yang with a full scholarship. She won the Concerto Competition twice and performed as soloist with the Yonsei Symphony Orchestra. In the fall of 2018, Sein will begin pursuing her MM at the Yale School of Music, where she will work with Aldo Parisot.
