Lucy Fitz Gibbon

Lucy Fitz Gibbon, soprano (Kingston, NY), has given modern premieres of lost works from the Baroque to the mid-20th century, and has premiered works by composers John Harbison, Pauline Oliveros, and Reena Esmail, among many others. She has appeared in recital in such venues as New York’s Carnegie Hall, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Park Avenue Armory, and Merkin Hall; London’s Wigmore Hall; and Toronto’s Koerner Hall. She has also appeared as soloist with ICE, the Aizuri String Quartet, Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Boston Musica Viva, and numerous symphonies across the US. Her discography includes CDs with Albany Records, Delos, and a forthcoming one on the Polish label Acte Préalable. A graduate of Yale University, Lucy has spent summers at the Tanglewood Music Center and Marlboro Music Festival. She is currently Director of the Vocal Program at Cornell University and on the faculty of Bard College-Conservatory’s Graduate Vocal Arts Program.
