Claire Bourg

Claire Bourg, violin (Chicago, IL), attends the Curtis Institute of Music as an Artist Diploma candidate studying with Pamela Frank and Arnold Steinhardt. Claire has been a featured soloist with several orchestras performing at Chicago’s Orchestra Hall and the Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park. She gave her debut performance at Jordan Hall as winner of New England Conservatory’s Concerto Competition. Claire has appeared on NPR’s From the Top and Chicago’s WFMT Introductions. She has also participated in the IMS Prussia Cove masterclasses. Claire has collaborated with Kim Kashkashian, Ida Kavafian, and Frans Helmerson. She has attended Ravinia’s Steans Music Institute where she worked with Leon Fleisher, Robert Levin, Mihaela Martin, and Donald Weilerstein, the Taos School of Music, and the Gstaadt Menuhin Festival Academy. She has participated in masterclasses with the Takacs Quartet, James Ehnes, and Vadim Gluzman. Claire received her BM from NEC, where she studied with Miriam Fried.
