Yumino Weber

Yumino Weber, cello (Munich, Germany), has studied with Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar, and since 2011 she has been studying with Frans Helmerson at the Musikhochschule Hanns Eisler in Berlin where she also studies chamber music with Eberhard Feltz and Jonathan Aner. Anne has participated in masterclasses with Wolfgang Boettcher, Anner Bylsma, Enrico Dindo, Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, Mischa Maisky, Nigel North, Arnold Steinhardt, and Jörg Widmann. Her awards include prizes from The Carl Flesch Academy in Baden, first prize at the Jugend Musiziert National competition, first prize at the International Cello Competition in Liezen/Austria, second prize at the International Karl Davidov Cello Competition in Kuldiga/Latvia, and second prize at the International Radio Competition with her duo partner, violinist Felix Key Weber. Anne plays a Nicolas Lupot cello (Paris, 1821), generously on loan from the Deutscher Musikinstrumentenfonds.
