Joseph Maile

Joseph Maile, violin (San Francisco, CA), has collaborated with faculty and student composers at the Tanglewood Music Center as a member of the New Fromm Players, and has been a member of Da Camera of Houston’s Young Artist Program where he worked with other young professional musicians to create unconventional and innovative chamber music productions throughout the Houston area. In San Francisco, Joseph has performed with several contemporary chamber music ensembles including Vocallective and Wild Rumpus. He has collaborated with numerous artists, including Ian Swensen, Norman Fischer, James Dunham, Roberto Diaz, Menahem Pressler, and composer John Adams. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Joseph has studied at The Juilliard School (BM) under the tutelage of Itzhak Perlman and Cathy Cho, the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University (MM) with Kathleen Winkler, and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (Artist Certificate in chamber music) with Ian Swensen.
