Anna Elashvili

Anna Elashvili, violin (Baltimore), has appeared as a soloist, chamber musician and concertmaster around the world. She has collaborated with renowned artists such as Lynn Harrell, Dawn Upshaw, Daniel Hope and Maxim Vengerov. Anna is a core violinist of Decoda, an Affiliate Ensemble of Carnegie Hall. She has also performed with the East Coast Chamber Orchestra, NOVUS NY, Mark Morris Dance Orchestra, Exponential Ensemble and was the first violinist of the Bryant Park Quartet. Anna received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees from The Juilliard School and completed a 2-year fellowship at Carnegie's program "Ensemble Connect". She has attended Yellow Barn, Perlman Music Program, Tanglewood and the Verbier Music Festival, where she served as concertmaster for several European tours. Anna currently teaches at the Special Music School High School and the Decoda|Skidmore Chamber Music Institute. Anna discovered her love for chamber music when she met the members of the Peabody Trio at the age of 9 in her hometown of Baltimore. She studied privately with Violaine Melançon and coached with the trio until she went to Juilliard for college. Anna also enjoys writing arrangements and collaborating with dance companies and musicians of other genres. Previous Yellow Barn Young Artists Program faculty (2017)
