Coleman Itzkoff

Coleman Itzkoff, cello (Cincinnati, OH), has been an Artist-in-Residence on “Performance Today” and has soloed with numerous orchestras across the nation. Recently, Coleman gave his Walt Disney Hall concerto debut as soloist in Tan Dun’s Heaven, Earth and Mankind. He is a founding member of the new interdisciplinary ensemble AMOC, the American Modern Opera Company. Coleman has performed with Pamela Frank, Shmuel Ashkenasi, Cho-Liang Lin, David Finckel, Johannes Moser, and Peter Frankl. Coleman received his BM from Rice University, and his master’s degree at the Thornton School of Music at USC where he studied with Ralph Kirshbaum. Coleman's cello was made in 1740 by Gennaro Gagliano and is being generously loaned to him by the Amatius Foundation of Austin, Texas. Previous Yellow Barn musician (2015, 2017)
