Hsin-Yun Huang

Hsin-Yun Huang, viola (Taiwan), has appeared as a soloist with the Berlin Radio Symphony, the City of London Sinfonia, Russian State Symphony, Tokyo Philharmonic, Zagrab Soloists, Bavarian Symphony Orchestra, ICE, Evergreen Symphony Orchestra, and National Symphony of Taiwan, among others. She recently performed concertos in New York’s Central Park and Alice Tully Hall. Ms. Huang was the violist of the Borromeo Quartet for six years and has collaborated with the Guaneri, Juilliard, Brentano, and St. Lawrence String Quartets. In 2012 she released the solo album Viola Viola under Bridge Records. She has made appearances at the Marlboro Festival, Spoleto Festival (both in Italy and Charleston), Stavanger Festival in Norway, Rome Chamber Music Festival, and Vancouver Chamber Music Festival, among others. Hsin-Yun is currently a member of the faculties at the Curtis Institute of Music and the Juilliard School. Past Yellow Barn musician (2014)
