Amelia Dietrich

Amelia Dietrich, violin (Greeneville, NC), made her solo debut with the North Carolina Philharmonic when she was 15 years old. She has been an active member of North Carolina Symphony Young All-Star orchestra and was concertmistress of the Eastern Youth Orchestra and the East Carolina University Symphony Orchestra. She has participated with Four Seasons Chamber Music Festival’s Next Generation concert series multiple times.  As a private student of Ara Gregorian’s she was able to participate in master classes with violinists, Hagai Shaham, Axel Strauss, Felicia Moye, Jennifer Koh, Yehonatan Berick, Soovin Kim, Gregory Fulkerson, Xiao-Dong Wang, and Elina Vähälä.  As a chamber musician, she has been coached by various groups including: The Tokyo String Quartet, The Ariana String Quartet, The Jupiter String Quartet, The Enso String Quartet, and Fry Street String Quartet.  Amelia has spent her summers at the ARIA Music Festival, Madeline Island Chamber Music Festival, Beethoven Institute at Mannes College, and International Music Summer Academy in Semmering, Austria and will attend Knelsel Hall Chamber Music Festival later this summer. In the fall, Amelia will start her studies at the Colburn School where she will be a student of Robert Lipsett.
