Yu-Wen Lucy Lu, violin (Kaohsiung, Taiwan), has won numerous violin competitions in Taiwan, including the National Student Music Competition and the Kaohsuing Music Competition. She was selected as a semi-finalist of the X International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians. Yu-Wen made her solo debut with the Kaohsiung City Teachers Orchestra at the Kaohsiung Cultural Center in Taiwan. She has previously studied in masterclasses with Krill Trousov, Vadim Repin, Hilary Hahn, Bomsori Kim, and Stefan Jackiw, has attended the Young Performers Program of Music@Menlo, and has performed with Jean-Yves Thibaudet and Dmitri Atapine. She is currently studying with Martin Beaver at the Colburn Conservatory of Music, where she is a candidate for a B.M degree. Previous Young Artists Program participant (2019)
