Yifei Li, cello (Shanghai, China), has played the cello since she was six. In 2005, she was admitted to the Shanghai Conservatory of Music middle school, and studied with professor Dahai Liu. From 2008 to 2014, she was awarded a scholarship by the Shanghai Conservatory of Music School. In 2011 and 2012, Yifei performed a concerto with the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra and played chamber music in many different concert halls. In 2014, she was awarded a scholarship and fellowship to attend the Juilliard School for her Bachelor’s Degree. Yifei currently studies with Professor Natasha Brofsky. Past Yellow Barn Young Artists Program participant (Summer 2016).
