Noah Godard

Noah Godard, composition (Moorpark, CA), is currently pursuing a BM in composition at the Juilliard School, studying with Matthias Pintscher. In Los Angeles, Noah studied composition with Brett Banducci and was an LA Phil Nancy and Barry Sanders Composer Fellow for three years. Through this program, he studied with Andrew Norman, Sarah Gibson, and Thomas Kotcheff, and had works premiered by ensembles including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Southeast Symphony, Sandbox Percussion, and the Lyris Quartet. Noah has also taken part in programs such as the MATA Jr. Festival, Yellow Barn Young Artists’ Program, Sunset Chamberfest Young Composers’ Workshop, and New Music on the Bluff. He has been named a finalist in the ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer Awards five times, and was a 2021 YoungArts Finalist in music composition. When he’s not playing or composing music, Noah enjoys growing bonsai, studying linguistics, solving crosswords, and drinking tea.  Previous Young Artists Program participant (2021)
