Lindan Burns

Lindan Burns, viola (Williams, OR), is currently pursuing a B.M. at the Juilliard School, where she studies with Misha Amory. Lindan has participated in masterclasses with Samuel Rhodes, Lawrence Dutton, Steve Tenenbom, and Brett Deubner, and with the Pacifica Quartet, Faure Quartet, and the Calder Quartet. Past summer festivals include the Foulger's International Music Festival, the Young Artist's Program NAC in Ottawa, the Castleman Quartet Program, and the Perlman Music Program. In 2015, she placed second in the Junior Division of the ASTA National Solo Competition. In 2016, she studied with Helen Callus at the Colburn Academy on the Greendale Scholarship. Her viola and bow are generously on loan from the Maestro Foundation. Lindan particularly enjoys teaching music (and rock climbing) and late-night chamber reading sessions.
