Amber Emson

Amber Emson, violin (London, United Kingdom), previously was a student at Chetham’s School of Music and attended the Royal College of Music’s Junior Department, and currently studies with So-Ock Kim. This past year she received first prize in Germany’s national competition “Jugend Musiziert”, as well as first prize at the International Music Competition Hohenpriesnitz. Amber participated in “Mit Musik-Miteinande”’ at Kronberg Academy in 2018, and regularly participated in MusicWorks where she worked with mentors including Catherine Manson, James Boyd, Robert Max and Alasdair Beatson. Since 2019, she has been a member of LGT Young Soloists, and performed with the group in major concert halls worldwide. Amber’s musical activities have been supported by generous grants from a number of trusts and foundations. Amongst these are the National Youth Arts Trust, Kathleen Trust and Spoff’s Chamber Music Scholarships. She is a Junior Scholarship recipient at the Hattori Foundation. Amber plays in a violin by Matthiew Taylor from 1806.
