Albert Gang

Albert Gang, violin (Irvine, CA), has been a Grand Prize Winner in the Music Center’s Spotlight Awards and a National YoungArts Classical Music Finalist Winner. He also was a finalist in the Stulberg International String Competition, finalist in the Mondavi National Young Artists’ Competition, a semifinalist in the Cooper International Violin Competition, and a Presidential Scholar in the Arts Nominee. Albert has been featured as a soloist with the Pacific Symphony, Palisades Symphony, and the Colburn Music Academy Virtuosi Orchestra. He also participated in the New York String Orchestra Seminar as a member of the first violin section. In his summers, Albert has attended the Meadowmount School of Music and the Aspen Music Festival. Additionally, he has performed in masterclasses for violinists such as Midori, Stefan Jackiw, and Cornelia Heard. Albert previously studied with Margaret Batjer at the Colburn Music Academy. Currently, Albert studies with Ani Kavafian in the five-year B.A./M.M. program at Yale University.
