2010 YELLOW BARN APPLICATION PROCEDURES
July 4 - August 8, 2010 An inspiring performance and study experience for advanced students and young professionals
Strings, Piano, Woodwinds, Guitar, Percussion, Ensembles APPLICATIONS: Applications are accepted from individuals (Strings, Piano, Woodwinds, Guitar, Percussion) and pre-formed ensembles. 2010 APPLICATION FORMS AVAILABLE HERE DEADLINES: January 25, 2010 for live auditions; February 8, 2010 for recorded auditions These are not postmark deadlines. Applications must be received at Yellow Barn by these dates. Late applications accepted only if space is available FEES: Regular Application Fee: $65 (non-refundable, due with application); $75 after February 8, 2010 AUDITIONS: Live auditions are strongly recommended. Submit your application and fee prior to the audition. Distant applicants may audition by DVD, CDs accepted but not preferred. Recordings will not be returned and must be un-edited materials. Audition Requirements: Prepare movements from two contrasting works. For example, prepare parts of one contemporary and one classical work, or two pieces that make very different demands on you as a player. Please provide your own pianist for sonatas or concertos. Ensembles should schedule live auditions if possible.
