2010 YOUNG ARTISTS PROGRAM APPLICATION PROCEDURES
APPLICATIONS: Applications are accepted from individuals and pre-formed ensembles.June 16 - July 3, 2010 For gifted students ages 13-19 Strings, Piano, Woodwinds, Composers 2010 APPLICATION FORMS AVAILABLE HERE DEADLINES: January 25, 2010 for live auditions; March 1, 2010 for recorded auditions and composition applicants. These are not postmark deadlines. Applications must be received at Yellow Barn by these dates. Late applications accepted if space is available
FEES: Application Fee: $50 (non-refundable, due with application); $65 after March 1, 2010 Tuition, Room & Board: $2,300, due in full by April 20, 2010, non-refundable after May 1, 2010 Limited scholarship assistance is available. Please inquire. AUDITIONS: All participants are selected by audition. Live auditions are strongly recommended. DVDs preferred from applicants unable to audition in person,CDs are accepted but not preferred. Recordings will not be returned and all materials must be un-edited. Completed application forms and application fees must be submitted prior to live auditions. Prepare movements from two contrasting works. For example, prepare parts of one contemporary and one classical work, or two pieces that make very different demands on you as a player. Please provide your own pianist for sonatas or concertos.
