As a participant in Carnegie Hall’s Porous Borders of Music workshop, he performed Edgar Meyer’s Cello-Bass Duo with the composer in Zankel Hall. Jennifer Curtis, violin (Chapel Hill, N.C.), has performed with several New York-based ensembles including Continuum, the Argento Chamber Ensemble, the Momenta quartet, and the Mark Morris Dance Group. She is a former concertmaster of the Juilliard Orchestra and founder of the J Quartet. She debuted in Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall in May 2006 and recently appeared as soloist with the Simón Bolivar Orchestra in Caracas, Venezuela. She is a past winner of the Astral Artistic Services International Competition, the Milka/Astral Grand Prize, as well as both the UC Berkeley and Juilliard Concerto Competitions. Since 2004 he has taught undergraduate majors and non-majors at the Yale School of Music. He is a past recipient of the Presser Award and the Yale School of Music Dean’s Prize. Keats Dieffenbach, violin (Wilmington, N.C.), is a founding member of the Tetras Quartet, which recently performed in Zankel Hall as part of Carnegie Hall’s Steve Reich at 70 series. She is a member of the Second Instrumental Unit and the American Contemporary Music Ensemble. A past concertmaster of the Juilliard Orchestra, Keats has also appeared as soloist with the Lake Placid Sinfonietta and was the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra’s 2006-2007 artist-in-residence. Jason Fisher, viola (Shoreline, Wash.), is a founding member of the Riverdell String Quartet. As a Carnegie Hall Fellow, he toured Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic, and as a Peabody Singapore Fellow, he appeared as soloist with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. He is also a founding member of A Far Cry, a new collectively directed, conductorless chamber orchestra based in Boston. Jason has received a Peabody Merit Scholarship, the Sidney Friedberg Prize for Excellence in Chamber Music, and the Ruth Blaustein Rosenberg Scholarship. As a co-soloist, he premiered the Philip Glass Concerto Fantasy for Two Timpanists and Orchestra. In 2003 he won the Concert Artists Guild International Competition. He has collaborated with Pierre Boulez, Oliver Knussen, James Conlon, John Adams, Robert van Sice, Leon Fleisher, and Donald Sutherland. She has won top prizes in the San Antonio, Valsesia-Musica, and Hilton Head Piano Competitions, among others. Her recording of Judith Zaimont’s Wizards (2003) was released by Albany Records in 2005.
