Summer Programs

Yellow Barn offers two summer training and performance programs in chamber music for outstanding young musicians. Both offer highly individualized, personal instruction from artists of the highest caliber, and rewarding opportunities for public performance. Performances are presented primarily in southeastern Vermont and environs.

Yellow Barn

Yellow Barn, the principal five-week training and performance program, is open to 36 musicians in the early stages of their professional careers. Most students in this program are currently enrolled in, or have recently graduated from, conservatory or graduate school.

Young Artists Program

The two-and-a-half week Young Artists Program is open to 28 outstanding instrumentalists and composers between the ages of 13 and 20.

Artist Residencies

Yellow Barn Artist Residencies provide the unique opportunity for musicians to develop projects of their own choosing in an environment conducive to undistracted study. Residencies are open to musicians of any age and at any stage of their career.
