Directions by car: Take I-91 to Exit 4 in Vermont. Go north on Route 5 (Main Street) less than ½ mile. The Big Barn is just north of the Putney Co-op, on the left. Parking is available off Main Street. Handicapped accessible parking is available from Old Route 5.

Directions by air and train: The closest major airport to Putney is Bradley International Airport in Hartford, CT. Amtrak provides train service to Brattleboro, VT.

The Greenwood School is located at 14 Greenwood Road (Putney, VT), just 3 miles from the village center. From The Big Barn, go south on Route 5 (Main Street), and turn right at the Putney Co-op (Carol Brown Way). At the stop sign make a left onto Old Rte. 5. Make a right onto Houghton Brook Road. (You will see a sign for the Greenwood School.) Follow the road as it turns to dirt. Make a left onto Watt Pond Road then a quick right onto the Greenwood School campus. (You will see a sign for the Greenwood School and Yellow Barn.)

The Putney Inn is located at 57 Putney Landing Road (Putney, VT), just ¼ mile from The Big Barn. From The Big Barn, go south on Route 5 (Main Street). Turn right, following the sign for I-91 north. Drive past the highway entrance and The Putney Inn is the next driveway on the left. (The sign can be seen from the road.)

Putney Public Library is located at 55 Main Street (Putney, VT) directly to the right of The Big Barn.

Centre Congregational Church is located at 193 Main Street (Brattleboro, VT), within walking distance of area restaurants, galleries, and shops.
