VISITING YELLOW BARN Yellow Barn's concert hall in Putney is conveniently located just off I-91, 2 hours by car from Boston and 3.5 hours from New York City. DRIVING Take I-91 to Exit 4 in Vermont. Go north on Route 5 (Main Street) less than half a mile. The concert hall is on the left, just north of the Putney Co-op. (Look for the large green sign.) Parking is available just off Main Street. Handicapped-accessible parking is available from Old Route 5. BY AIR, TRAIN or BUS The closest major airport to Putney or Northampton is Hartford's Bradley International Airport. Transportation from the airport is available through Valley Transporter (413-253-1350) and Thomas Transportation (800-526-8143). Amtrak provides train service to Brattleboro, VT. (800-872-7245). From Route 5 North or the South: Turn in front of the Putney Co-op onto Carol Brown Way. Drive to the end of the block, at the stop sign make a left onto Old Rt. 5. Proceed straight until you get to Houghton Brook Rd. (you will see a sign for the Greenwood School). Make a right onto Houghton Brook Rd. Follow the road as it turns dirt until you get to Watt Pond Rd. (you will see a sign for the Greenwood School and Yellow Barn). Make a left onto Watt Pond Rd. then a quick right onto the Greenwood School campus.
