Yoonhee Lee

Yoonhee Lee, violin (Boston, MA), attended the New England Conservatory (B.M. 2011, M.M. 2013), Conservatorium van Amsterdam (M.M. 2015), and Frank Huntington Beebe Fund for Study Abroad (2013-14). Her mentors include Masuko Ushioda, Vera Beths, Anner Bijlsma, and Farhoud Moshfegh.  She is a recent participant of the seventh Creative Dialogue workshop in Kallio-Kuninkala, Finland, where instrumentalists and composers were guided by Anssi Karttunen, Kaija Saariaho, and Tuija Hakkila in the creation of new compositions that were premiered at Helsinki Music Centre as part of the festival Musica nova Helsinki. Lee often works with and premieres the works of composer Sean Dalaigh. She has attended Prussia Cove International Musicians Seminar, Yellow Barn, Perlman Music Program, Schleswig-Holstein Masterclasses, Centre d’Arts Orford, and Great Mountains Music Festival and School.  She has worked closely with Ana Chumachenco, András Keller, Joanna Kurkowicz, Krzysztof Wegrzyn, Laurence Lesser, and Roger Tapping, as well as members of the Cleveland, Borromeo, and Cavani Quartets. Lee plays on a 2015 Andrew Ryan. She currently resides in Amsterdam.
