Noah Godard

Noah Godard, composition (Moorpark, CA), is currently pursuing a BM in composition at the Juilliard School, studying with Matthias Pintscher. In Los Angeles, Noah studied privately with Brett Banducci and was an LA Phil Nancy and Barry Sanders Composer Fellow for three years, during which time he was taught by Andrew Norman, Sarah Gibson, and Thomas Kotcheff. He has had works premiered by ensembles including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Southeast Symphony, Sandbox Percussion, the Lyris Quartet, the Bergamot Quartet, and the Nu Deco Ensemble. Noah has also taken part in New Music on the Bluff (2021), the MATA Jr. Festival (2020), and Sunset Chamberfest’s Young Composers’ Workshop (2020). He has been named a finalist in the ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer Awards six times, and was a 2021 YoungArts Finalist in music composition. In addition to music, Noah has studied as a bonsai artist for four years. In his free time, he enjoys studying linguistics, hiking, and drinking tea.
