Jisoo Kim, violin (Seoul, South Korea), is a senior at the Walnut Hill School for the Arts, where she currently studies with Lynn Chang and Robyn Bollinger. She has won first place at various competitions, including the Musical Club of Hartford, the Haneum Philharmonic Competition, and the National Music Competition in Korea. She has been a member of the New England Conservatory’s Youth Philharmonic Orchestra and has performed chamber music as a member of its Preparatory School as well as at Walnut Hill. She has attended several summer music programs including the Boston University Tanglewood Institute and the Bowdoin International Music Festival. In 2018, she performed in masterclasses for Benjamin Zander, Irina Muresanu, Itamar Zorman, and Rebecca Anderson.
