Hsi-yuan (Elisabeth) Chang

Hsi-yuan (Elisabeth) Chang, cello (Tao-yuan, Taiwan) recently graduated from Los Gatos High School in California. Since moving with her family from Taiwan to California in 2015, she has studied cello with Ms. Bonnie Hampton. She studied concurrently with Ms. Kyeon Hwa Kim and participated in the California Philharmonic Youth Orchestra from 2015 to 2018. Elisabeth attended the Crowden Chamber Music Workshop in Berkeley, CA, in 2015 and 2016, performing with pianist Kevin Yang at the Crowden Music Center. Additionally, she attended the Yellow Barn Young Artists Program in 2017 and 2018, as well as Manhattan in the Mountains in Hunter, NY, in 2017. Last year, she participated in the New York String Orchestra Seminar, performing in Carnegie Hall. Elisabeth will begin her undergraduate studies at Juilliard with Mr. Joel Krosnick in the fall of 2019. Previous Yellow Barn Young Artists Program participant (2018, 2017)
