Eunseo Oh

Eunseo Oh, violin (San Jose, CA), is a junior at Lynbrook High School in San Jose, California. She began learning the violin at the age of eight. She was a prizewinner in numerous competitions including the Pacific Musical Society Competition, the Enkor Int’l Music Competition, and the National YoungArts Competition. As the violinist of the Aveta Trio, she won the gold medal at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. She was also a semifinalist at the 2022 Johansen International Competition. In addition, Eunseo was a performer at the San Francisco International Piano Festival in 2020 and 2021. She has been invited to and participated in programs including Music@Menlo, Bowdoin International Music Festival, and NYO-USA. Eunseo currently serves as the Co-Concertmaster of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra. As the winner of the SFSYO Concerto Competition, she will perform the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with the orchestra during the 2022-2023 season. She has also been serving as the concertmaster for the Lynbrook High School Chamber Orchestra since her freshman year. Eunseo studies with Zhao Wei at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and has previously studied with Ian Swensen. She is also coached by Eric Chin, Lisa Lee, Susan Bates, and Jeffrey LaDeur.
