Emely Phelps

Emely Phelps, piano (Frederick, MD), is a DMA Candidate at SUNY-Stony Brook, where she studies with Christina Dahl. She is a member of the Stony Brook Contemporary Chamber Players, coaches undergraduate chamber music, and serves as a teaching assistant in the music history department. She has performed as soloist with the National Symphony Orchestra and the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic. Emely was the pianist of Trio Cleonice, with whom she performed in more than 15 states, toured Europe, and won second prize at the Schoenfeld International String Competition. The group served as the Graduate Piano Trio-in-Residence at New England Conservatory, during which time Emely studied with Vivian Weilerstein, receiving a GD in chamber music. Emely also holds a BM and MM from the Juilliard School, where she was a student of Julian Martin. Previous Yellow Barn musician (2014-2017)
