Claire Bourg

Claire Bourg, violin (Chicago, IL), attends the Curtis Institute of Music as a Diploma student of Pamela Frank and Arnold Steinhardt. Claire has been a featured soloist with several orchestras, performing in such venues as Chicago’s Orchestra Hall and the Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park. As winner of New England Conservatory’s concerto competition, she debuted at Jordan Hall performing with the NEC Chamber Orchestra. Claire is a laureate of many competitions and has appeared on NPR’s From the Top and Chicago’s WFMT Introductions radio programs. She has participated in the IMS Prussia Cove masterclasses several times. Claire has collaborated in performances with Kim Kashkashian, Peter Frankl, Ida Kavafian, Roberto Diaz, and Frans Helmerson, among others. She has attended Ravinia’s Steans Music Institute, Taos School of Music, and the Gstaadt Menuhin Festival Academy, where she worked Leon Fleisher, Robert Levin, Mihaela Martin, and Donald Weilerstein. Claire regularly performs with Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players, Music for Food, and Curtis on Tour. Before attending Curtis, Claire received her BM from New England Conservatory studying with Miriam Fried. Previous Yellow Barn musician (2018)
